I read on here ALL the time but havent posted much lately..and now almost feel sheepish about posting but you all are my peeps..whether you know it or not so to me it seems only natural that I share one of my most amazing NSV yet with y'all!

So this weekend I got to take a ride on this TEENY TINY 2 seater airplane and chuck a pumkin from it!  We were at a biplane air museum and there was a pilot there who was offering rides in his plane for a $20 donation to raise money for the museum...and I figured why not?!? I know a year ago and 102 pounds ago I NEVER would have considered it but life is different now in so many wonderful ways and so I went for it!! It was a TINY little 2 seater plane that even now I barely fit into but it was SO exciting!!! The colors on the trees will never look the same to me again! And the pumpkin chucking..well that was just the icing on the cake...we had to fly sideways and I thought my glasses were going to blow off but my family says I was "sort of" close to the target! Best $20 bucks I ever spent and tey another reminder that FOR ME the choice to have WLS was such a good decision on so many levels! And my girls were there to witness it all and were SO proud of my bravery! And so was I...

Thanks for letting me share...

I keep putting off my one year update..I will get to it eventually and photos...meanwhile I am well and out enjoying life!!!!

WOWWOW WOW!!!  How cool is that??????  I don't think I would have done it if I weight 102 pounds more either.  I would be afraid of an aircraft imbalance, especially on a tiny plane.  But, now that you have lost the weight and feel good, you felt confident that you could fly in a tiny plane without throwing it off balance.  That is a fabulous NSV!  I can just imagine how beautiful the trees looked and how fun it was to chuck a pumpkin!

This sounds like a great time. Glad you had fun.

Reminds me of a time many years ago I was flying a commercial puddle jumper plane and they actually asked each of us how much we weighed before boarding!  Of course I lied but I told them I had a really heavy briefcase with me.

How great to see the fall leaves from above.

Wow! How cool!

I always thought I would never ride in any plane with only 1 engine, but I have to re-think that.  If I could ride in it, and throw a pumpkin . . .
