I'm one year post-op tomorrow! I can hardly believe how fast this year has gone by.

I'm thankful everyday for my sleeve...even though I'm not at goal yet, I know that someday I will be. I've been on the slow loser train, but that is okay, I'm getting this done!!!

You look amazing!  I'm sure you are close to goal.   Your hair looks so thick, full and healthy!  Did it ever fall out?  I think you look 15 years younger too.  Enjoy your fabulous look!

YES! It fell out. It started about 3 months post-op and really slowed down around 9 months post-op. And I'm still continuing to shed but it has really slowed down a LOT! I'm guessing I lost between 30-40% of my volume (if not a tad more!)

However, I grew my hair longer in anticipation of losing it and I figured I would just have my hairdresser chop it shorter to make it appear fuller. But then I kind of liked having it longer and asked her for a cut that would add the 'appearance' of fullness.

I also have taken biotin religiously for the last 13 months (started before surgery) and it doesn't prevent loss but helps with new growth. Now when I wear my hair back in a ponytail I have all these funky baby hairs that stick out. UGH! I will be happy when they are long enough to NOT stick out!

Thanks for the nice compliment!
