Its Just a Number

I don't worry about the sizes, I'd rather be more comfortable. They vary so much, even with the same brand. I've got Levi jeans in a 12 that fit well, and a Levi skirt in a 6 that is only slightly smaller. Mostly I'm buying 8's for bottoms and M or L shirts. I don't ever recall single digit sizes because I was overweight all of my life. I'm thrilled with whatever fits now, because it looks so much better than plus sizes!

Talbots did a survey where they found out that many women won't buy clothes if the size is above a certain number.

I used to scoff at that. But today I was at H+M, a store I love but the sizes tend to run small and I was very annoyed that the size 6  jacket fit me when I'm a size 2 in other stores. I was okay going up a size to size 4 but not up to size 6. That against over my mental image of myself.
