1 year and almost 3 months post op - thoughts and pics
Great story and congrats on your success. You look wonderful and I bet you feel great. Have a little talk with Dad and tell him to help you by not pushing food - that you eat according to Dr.'s orders. As for Mom, well many of us have mom's like that and I don't know why they act that way but you just sort of have to learn to blow it off (only took me 20 years to learn that one) and do what you think is best.
So now is the time to lose a few more if you want to and it sounds like you are doing the right stuff so it will happen. The carby snacks can be tempting so I just don't keep any around. Enlist your family , friends and partner in this process.
You have done a great job and soon will begin to "feel" your new size and when you do, you will really enjoy it even more. diane

Thank you Diane. It's nice to see you're still around. There's no point in telling anything to my dad, he just doesn't listen, it's not his type of thing to do, you know? As for mom, 20 years is a fair deal ;)
It's time to lose some more and/or get fitter, just because it feels good to be fit I think. I'm not keeping anything carby around at the moment and I think it's the only wise thing to do. My partner is also very good with this and has been very helpful with the whole "I wanna lose some more weight and start running" thing.
I can't wait to "feel" it.

congrats you look fantastic, thank you for sharing your journey with us, I think we all get to the point we have to figure out how we are going to eat for life and what that is for each and everyone of us..
I wish you all the best as you continue on you journey

Thank you for such an inspirational post. Your transformation has been amazing, both inside and out. Eventually, the head will catch up. I heard that it can take up to 3 years. You look wonderful, happy, and healthy.
I am with you, on the gratitude. Everyday, I am grateful for the WLS and second chance at a healthier life. WLS has truly been a gift.

The pic with the backpack was taken a couple of months ago when we were on a beautiful 3-hour hike in a place called Polylimnio (means "many lakes"). It was the day I realized that a year ago I couldn't had possibly done that. And that's the greatest gift, being able to do things, thinking that I'm able to do things.
Thank you :)
Thank you :)
