Tummy tuck getting done next Wednesday not Wednesday now it is this Monday
You will love your results! I had mine done long before WLS, and even though I gained and lost a bunch of weight several times, it held up great.
FYI, you may have very little pain, or it may hurt like the devil. Never mind; it will be over before you know it. When I waked up I was fine. Pain meds, don't you know, heh heh. When nurse tried to get me to sit up on the side of the bed, I couldn't. They had cut and tightened my abdominal muscles, and ow ow ow! But as I lay there trying to force my way upright, I said to myself, "This is the best thing I have ever done for myself!" And every time I sat up it got easier and easier.
So if you do hurt, don't despair. It will pass very quickly. And if you don't hurt much, you are a lucky dog! Whichever way, you will feel sooooo much better getting that hangy thing off your front side!!
Best wishes for a very successful surgery :-)

Hey Valerie, good luck with the TT. I had lower body lift a year ago...best thing I ever did, besides the VSG of course! The reason they want you to up your protein is that it helps tremendously with healing. So do what they say. I did a minimum of 125gms of protein for my surgery last year and had a fairly easy time. I'm doing arms and thighs in 2 weeks so I've upped mine again as well. It does make a difference! So chug down those shakes!!

Wow! What a quick turn around time with your insurance company. I hope you have an uneventful surgery and a great recovery. I look forward to reading your updates.
Did they tell you to up your protein or to take different supplements for healing? I've been learning a lot over on the plastics forum so I keep asking questions to keep in my plastics toolbag.
