VSG Maintenance Group
ONE WHOLE YEAR TODAY!!!!
Thank you very much. I swear I bounce around like sunshine I feel so good. There just are not enough words to describe the depth of this gift. It requires work but anything worth having does right?:) I am thrilled to be here and trying to be the best I can be for my family. I so badly did not want to end up a burden on them or anyone else with bad health. I am a nurse and I see it EVERY day the health problems related to obesity. I am certain I had finally hit my 'rock bottom' and had all the stars lined up in the right place...truly amazing... because at any other time in my life I would not have envisioned me considering this surgery or any other kind and going thru with all that it took to go have it done. It truly was meant to be...NO DOUBT. I may take time and document it one day on my site.
My journey definitely continues...sleevin' and believin'....just gotta do it to believe it.
It just totally makes sense:)

I have also found myself bouncing around like sunshine most of the time. It is truly a journey, one of discovery, hard work, dedication, and self-revelation. I work at this everyday, somedays are better than others, but I never want to go back to where I started from.
I am also a nurse and over the years have seen what diabetes can wrought on patients and their families. I also saw my father go through it. I think I hit bottom, when I reach my highest weight EVER, was diagnosed with sleep apnea, and was almost pre-diabetic. I was certainly heading in the direction of developing diabetes, since my FBS was gradually increasing. After I overcame the initial shock of WLS being recommended by my PCP, I started doing the research, and decided on the VSG. BEST DECISION of my life. I was more afraid of the severe sleep apnea and diabetes, than I was of having the surgery.
I wish you the best on your continuing journey.
