With Apologies to Frisco
I guess I am not clued in to what's going on here.
The horror stories of "you won't be able to eat" nearly chased me away from surgery. I'd heard no coke, no popcorn, certainly. Candy never again, and many suggested I should never ever eat potatoes, rice, flour or sugar ever again. I lived my fat life tormented by size, but I wasn't about to live my life with such stringent rules either. It wasn't until I found a surgeon that felt that "if you could do that, you wouldn't need surgery" that I felt comfortable moving forward. There isn't a food I haven't had since wls. Maybe that doesn't work for all people. But there is no need for the non-carbers or "non-popcorners" to feel somehow morally superior because they can stay away from it. I'll make you a deal: I promise not to think of myself as morally superior for actually having some discipline about the food I do eat if y'all promise not to be so morally superior about the food you don't eat.

Exactly! It does NO good to beat each other up. There are many paths to success post WLS. Alienating those *****ach out for help doesn't do any good for anyone. After all... anyone who has been morbidly obese for a big chunk of their life (even if not since surgery) essentially lives in a glass house. And you know what they say you shouldn't do if you live in a glass house.
