And yet there was absolutely nothing wrong with that woman's question... she wasn't saying she wanted to eat popcorn 2 days out from surgery or that she binges on popcorn every night. She just asked if something she heard from someone online was true...

... and it wasn't.

I'm a changed person...... Just past two years a couple hours ago...

I don't read anything that says popcorn or soda or chicken wings.....

See, it's working!

I don't see anything wrong with her question, either.

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

I don't see much wrong with her question either.  My concern is that at 1 week out, popcorn would not be something I'd be considering.  However, to each his own.  What thrills one person chills another.

I have a friend who was sucking on cheetos one week out.  Needless to say she still weighs 240 at 3 years out cause sucking cheetos lead to biscuits and gravy, nachos, tacos, pizza, etc on a daily basis.  I have seen first hand what choosing badly can do.  I can understand Frisco's frustration with posts like this.  It really is a slippery slope and some folks just are not ready to make the life changes necessary.  I know my friend wasn't and she was self pay...such a shame.

She was not 1 week out she was pre-surgery and it was a musing.  IE. 'Will I ever be able to eat popcorn again at the movies?".  From where I stand it's a fine question to add to your education.

hey, Marie, that's cool.  and don't delete, anything can be a learning experience including a misunderstanding. heck, maybe especially a misunderstanding.
