Ok good enough...   it's funny I posted all of the definitions off to the side of each of them on my whole spreadsheet, I guess that part does not show up here...

Oh well no worries, I am good to go.

Big hugs and good night,

Cindy

Most of the stuff you have that is high, there is no down-side to being high really. Maybe if you are supplementing with B12, you might want to cut back to save some money, since you obviously don't need to take that much. OTOH, you may want to take a "better safe than sorry" approach and keep doing it. B12 is water soluable so you can't overdoes on it. You'll just pee out the extra.

I would ask your PCP about your White Blood Cell count (WBC) as it is low and that can be a sign of an illness.

Chloesterol is high. The good cholesterol is good and trigycerides are good but bad cholesterol is high. Are you taking an Omega-3 Supplement? That can help your cholesterol numbers.

The stuff "at the top of the list"? I think most of us  have those, we don't just always report them. They have to do with your blood counts and the first too can show you if you are anemic. Yours are okay but not stellar but your ferritin is great so it's probably fine.

I can't remember what LDH is.

Hi Mac,

Ok digesting it all, those labs are from 1.5 years ago.  I am getting more done tomorrow.

I will take note of what you said.

If my cholesterol is still high tomorrow, I will start taking the Omega-3's thanks so much!  I think I am already taking some Omega-3's with my supplements, I will double check..., if they are the fish oil pills then I am... and have been for about 9 mos, so that should improve with this test...)

Thanks so much,

Cindy

Hi Cindy,
BTW, I don't know if your DR mentioned it, but you need to be off all vitamins 3 days before having your blood drawn to get an accurate count of what your body holds on to, not what shows up because you are taking your supplements.  I went through this!  my B12 came in at 2800 because I forgot that I was getting blood drawn and my PCP called me immediately to go off the supplement.  I told him that I had forgotten to stop the vitamins.  He redid the blood work after being of them for a couple of days, and my B12 came in at 620.  Big difference!

Hugs!

Oh my, ok this is first had knowledge and experience with before and after.  I will stop them 3 days before...

I did not go today and will be going next Monday or Tuesday, otherwise I would not have seen this.

Thanks so much,

Cindy

p.s.  Several have mentioned it both ways, to stop and to continue as usual, but this cinches it for me.  Hugs....

It depends on what you are having your blood drawn for.  It won't change the results of a test for HIV or HEpC, but since we are specifically checking for things like B12, it will skew your results, just like fatty meat will skew your cholesterol or sugar you glucose test.  My surgeon recommends 3 days, but my PCP just sent me for blood work without even fasting.  However, he had no idea that I take B12.  Poor man, almost had a heart attack!

Some articles explaining how eating, drinking and even exercising can change your results:

Your blood health is stellar, except the cholesterol.

I wish I had your results my ferritin was a 2, yes a single digit 2, thats bad really really bad.

Everything I see from your results seems to point to you being healthy!
