VSG Maintenance Group
i am a failure
Welcome back, Deon! It is so good to see another familiar face :-)
I sympathize with what you have gone through, because I've had a round of spinal surgeries starting about two years ago (one year post-vsg). About a year and nine months ago, it all started going wrong, and I ended up in the hospital and a nursing home for over a month and was laid up at home for another three months. Now I am partially disabled ... and 28 dang pounds over goal! I got really emaciated while I was laid up, and the doctor suggested I eat lots of ice cream to gain the weight back. Oh it came back all right ... along with 28 more pounds, and my raging sugar / carb addiction which I had beat when I had my sleeve is back in all its torment!!
I am really down on myself, too, as you are and feeling guilty, as you said -- eat garbage, feel guilty, eat garbage, feel guilty. GRRR!
So, my fellow garbage eater let's do better! We CAN lose the weight again! I'll look forward to hearing from you and knowing how you are getting on. Keep popping in!

well you are not a failure. you just went through some rough times and some rebound because of it does not make you a failure. you have done the right thing by getting back on here. it will help inspire you to get back on track. there are lots of threads on this group about getting back on track with lots of hints so take some time to go back through the older posts and find them. some great info there. you will also see how many people have gotten off track and recovered and realize you can do it too. check in often. it can help. we are pulling for you.
