I saw him yesterday about my knee.  Cortisone.  Bone on bone in the knee cap but he thinks I can hold off for another 8-10 years with other treatments.  I hope he's right!

Anyway, he asked how long I've had knee pain.  I explained how after my WLS that I haven't really had pain until just recently.  He looked surprised when I told him I had had WLS.  He asked how much I had to lose to decide to have it done.  I told him I've lost almost 160 pounds.  He was completely shocked!

He said.  "You don't look like someone who has lost 160 pounds at all."  He said people he has known who have lost that much weight or even less have a "look" about them that "tells" that they have lost considerable weight.   He said he would NEVER guess that I've lost that much and asked if I have had plastics.  Um, no, but the bat wings are getting clipped on 9/12/11!

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Hey cool. I don't think you look like you could possibly have weighed 160 lbs more but I  have seen your pictures. I bet your doc has seen mainly RNY patients before. I wonder if the malabsorbtion factor gives people a different sort of look. Isn't it great we have our dear little pyloric valves intact?

Nice nsv.   Diane

Yes, I kin of understand what he means.  But I've seen a lot of people that I can tell they've lost.  I just thought I got lucky and lost it in all the right places.  You may be right.  The pyloric valve may have something to do with it, with losing it a little more "naturally".
