Here's my rate of weight loss. I can't say when I hit "goal" because I've had so many. I quit tracking after a year because I thought I was done, but I've continued to lose about 1 to 1.5 lbs a month since my anniversary. I started working out (step aerobics, weights, and boot camp style classes) about 3 months after surgery and added running at 6 months.
Pre-surgery - 10
Month 1 - 17.1
Month 2 - 9.8
Month 3 - 11.7
Month 4 - 9.4
Month 5 - 6.7
Month 6 - 8
Month 7 - 8.3
Month 8 - 6.5
Month 9 - 5.4
Month 10 - 2.6
Month 11 - 4.5
Month 12 - 2.8
Total at 1 year 102.8

It took me about 5 months.. lost 105 lbs during that time.

You are doing fabulous!

I am still loving life with my sleeve! Been maintaining at or below goal for over 4 years!

Thanks everyone!

I guess it's the newbie doubts of "can I really get to (or under?) goal?" Silly, as I know it's mostly up to me and a bit up to my own body, and anyone who knows this taurus knows I'm stubborn as hell when I *really* fixate on something I want..

I think it's just now, pushing closer to 40 than 20 (I had my "big loss" in my early 20's, dropped over 100lbs quickly.. being young and dumb, not healthy).. it feels different body wise.. I get frustrated when joint damage slows me down. It's a fine line to walk between pushing myself, and knowing when my body is calling for me to give it a rest for a little while.

My losses so far:
mo1 10.7 (had my big drop pre-op)
mo2 11.4
mo3 11.5
mo4 8.4
mo5 is shaping up to be less than mo4...

It took me 11 months to get to my personal goal of 180.  I lost another 7 lbs after that but wasn't happy with my skin.  I gained 23 over the past year and got back on track last Monday.  I've lost 6+ lbs so far and am looking at getting back to 180.  Might sound like a lot to others, but it works pretty good for me :)
Good Luck to you :)

I got to my "realistic" goal of 125 at about 10 months post-op.  It took 7 more months, until just a week or so ago, to get to my secret, heart-of-hearts goal of 115.  And now I may keep going to a new super-secret goal of a BMI less than 20.

I'm 5'2" and 55 years old.  VSG 3/17/10

I got to a normal BMI at 6.5 months. I had no specific number after that. I went by looks. I got to my lowest weight at 10.5 months. I was happy mostly but a bit scrawny and decided to put back on some more weight. At first it was more fat than I wanted so I started weight training. That allowed me to fit back into my skinniest clothes while not looking scrawny.

At this point it's all about body composition for me. I keep my body fat under 20% and I work to maintain my muscles and even to get stronger.
