Have you ever participated in the Iron Man 1/2 Tri in Lake Stevens, WA?  I live near there & I am always amazed at how many people are sooooooooooooo much for fit than I am!

Seriously, what a great committment you have.  Go get 'em!

Hey, I finished!

Overswam the swim course and the bike course was a mess. I felt like I executed mostly to plan on the bike, but they ran out of water very early on and we had to stop and get our bottles filled up from hoses instead of just grabbing one as we rode by and that really hurt my bike time.

But I ran to my expected pace and even negative split the run! [That means I ran the second half (slightly) faster than the first  half.]

I ended up PRing everything but the swim. (That means I was faster than my last IM in each segment - transitions, bike and run.)

 good for you!!

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

Well, I didn't break anything but it was freaking hot! It didn't impact me much directly but it did indirectly because they ran out of water on the bike course!

Well it did hurt a bit at the end when I ran out of Advil. But what really hampered  me was a lack of run training. I ran out of poop at mile 8-9 and kind of faked it through miles 10-16 where there was a lot of uphill and downhill so I got to rest a lot. Mile 18 through 22 was just running on sheer guts and then I got my second wind.
