Reached my "OMG I hardly dare say this number out loud" goal!

When I had my surgery in Mrch 2010, I set my goal at 125.  A couple of months later I got all ambitious and set it at 115, which was the last weight at which I remembered feeling really slim (some time in the first Nixon administration!).  Then early this year I hit 125 and looked and felt really good, and decided to call it all good and revised my goal back to 125.

But in my head I never stopped shooting for 115.  And suddenly this weekend, my weight fell off a cliff and went from 116 all the way down to 114.4!  And finally, after 17 months, I have reached my crazy optimistic I-don't-even-want-to-say-this-number-out-loud goal!!  And I've adjusted my weight loss ticker accordingly.

Man, it feels awesome!!

I sure do love my sleeve!!

wow must feel great! (loved the "sometime in the Nixon administration" part, lol)

I reached a 24.9 BMI this weekend and am thrilled but with it I also started having internal doubts about how much I really want to end up with. I already lost 2 more pounds since Saturday and am a little scared. I don't want to get too thin. is there such a risk, to not stop losing and becoming way to thin? I always read here that people just go and have more peanut butter and such, but is it a nightmare to avoid losing too much? (sorry if I am hijacking your post or so!).

Congratulations.  That's wonderful!!!!!   Do you think that is a good stopping point and will you try to maintain at this weight?

I hope to get some insight to my goal weight this week when I have my one year checkup with Dr Cirangle. I think I can afford to lose a little more weight....but maybe just firming it up too.  I'm not sure.  I'd rather be thinner in case of some bounce back.

Congrats!! That is fantastic!

It is so great to know that you are still seeing results 17 months post-op! That gives me great hope.

Woo Hoo!

Thanks for the encouragement, everybody!

I plan to keep doing what I'm doing, and if I lose more, that's okay with me.  I still have a surprising amount of fat on my body!  I could definitely stand to lose even another ten pounds before I was in any danger of being "too thin."   And I definitely wouldn't mind having a nice cushion in case of the dreaded bounce-back!

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.
