What's Your Favorite Portable Lunch Stuff
Two slices of Hormel natural something or other (right now I'm into honey ham), spread with some cream cheese and rolled up. (I like soft squishy food ) I take two in my lunch bag. But I eat that for a small lunch because I've usually had a sizeable snack like a couple slices of cheese or some peanut butter crackers or some grapes or a small salad. Or if I haven't had such a bountiful snack, I will take a larger salad with raisins and seeds, yum yum yum!!

I pack my lunch in a Laptop Bento box everyday. Absolutely love them and have a slew of extra Laptop containers in all colors.
We usually cook extra at dinner so I can have the leftover protein for lunch and many times breakfast. This week it was grilled salmon for a few days that had been line caught on Sunday, can't get much fresher than that!
I always pack a container with sliced cucumber, bell pepper slices and throw in a Trader Joe's mini brie bite. If we have fresh blueberries I'll pack a container of about half cup.
I make 3 meat roll-ups a couple times a week and pack them also. I use one serving (3 slices) organic sliced turkey spread with one Laughing Cow cheese wedge, sprinkled with green onions and rolled up - YUM!
Now, I don't eat all that I pack. Most days 2 of the meat roll-ups go back in the fridge as does some of the veggies and the brie or I eat the veggies when I get home from work.
My 2 favorite leftovers for lunch are grilled chicken and grilled tilapia.

Some great ideas. Thank you! Starkist tuna cups that come with low fat mayo, pickle relish and crackers. And a little spoon. Sometimes I eat the crackers, sometimes I don't. These are always in my pantry for a quick grab and go. I always have turkey jerky stashed away, too.

great question Diane...I bring my lunch to work everyday and I often end up packing the same things!
Lately I have been making a chicken cole slow salad. Just chop up cabbage (or the bag) , add almonds and chicken. I pack dressing by itself...and then toss it when it is lunch time. I add whatever veggies I have around to it too...very yummy and satisfying. I don't do much of the cabbage since I want to make sure I get the protein in before I am too full.

I generally just bring leftovers from dinner and zap them in the microwave.

I've been living off of chicken salad for lunch lately. It's high protein and filling. I make it in big batches at the beginning of the week in a variety of ways but my latest fav is with curry powder, greek yogurt, green onion, mango chutney and a little bit of cashew and green apple for crunch.
