DIZZY
I am 9 months out and I have about 10 lbs to goal, I have been getting dizzy, or light headed lately, im not sure what the deal is. I have been eating the same as i usually do.
The scale has not moved in 3 weeks, which is driving me crazy, cause I should be at goal right now.
After I eat I seem to get tired also, just wondering if anyone else experianced this or knows whats going on with me???

No, it will make things worse, if it is a blood sugar issue.
My suggestion is to work with your doctor to figure out what is going on. There are just so many possibilties and low blood sugar is just one of them. It could also be low blood pressure, dehydration or a vitamin deficiency, to name a few.

Work with your doctor to figure it out. I didn't eat sugar either, but still had my BS bottom out at times. Remember that your body has gone through a lot of changes since WLS and it is trying to adjust.
It's an awful feeling for sure and I was so glad when mine just went away. I don't know why it did. The only thing I did differently was go for a walk first thing in the morning. I was kind of afraid to do that due to the dizziness, but did it anyway and it wasn't long before that feeling was gone in the a.m. That's why I think it was more of a low BP problem rather than low BS

Are you taking your multi-vitamins as prescribed? I have experienced occasional bouts of dizziness. When I went to my follow up appointment a few weeks ago the blood work showed I was below the normal range for Iron (a.k.a. a bit anemic). Doctor said the anemia could have been causing the dizziness. I went back on my iron supplements and I haven't experienced any dizziness since.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Is this something you experience when moving from sitting to standing? Or other quick position changes? If so, it could be orthostatic hypotension. I experience this as well and my doctor told me that it is a sign that I need to push more fluids. There are so many things that can contribute to lightheadedness though that it would be worth discussing with your doctor.

I have been getting dizzy as well, specially when moving from sitting to standing... if dehydration makes ones dizzy, that may be what's happening with me as I am guilty of not drinking enough water since surgery... used to love it and now it's hard to get much in.
