It sounds like a doable program thanks for posting it, I think what was key for me was getting off the junk completly and doing the shakes for a couple of weeks allowed for that .. there was no temptations i knew exactly what i was having and it was no preperation just grab and go..

The only cravings i have had are for protein .. which is great for me its been 4 weeks straight of  being on program with not even being tempted to try any junk.

5lbs in a week sounds great, i wish you all the best in this losing phase .. please keep me posted on how your doing on it..

Thanks Linda.  I'm really impressed and inspired with your recent big drop in weight.  It's amazing that the basics work for us, regardless of how far out.  I too crave protein and feel like it gives me what I need.

I think that was really brave of you to go back to all shakes.  My program forbid shakes from day 1 so I never got into the habit and now it sounds really difficult to me.

You go girl...I'm still struggling but yesterday was a restart.  Once I get back from Jamaica I might have to do the shake thing....until then for the next 5 weeks I'm going to just focus on my intake and exercise.

Hey Linda!  16 pounds in 4 weeks as far out as you are is very impressive!  I too see when I eat sugar or carbs I get super hungry throughout the day.  I have a doc appt. next week so maybe I'll try at least two shakes a day.

Good luck getting the last 6 off!  You can do it!

My surgeon required 2 weeks of shakes and liquids pre-surgery.  I lost 13 pounds.  But it was grueling for me.  He stressed the importance of shrinking my liver in order for the surgery to be performed laproscopically.  He's in Mexico so I was sufficiently scared!

At a support group meeting, the RN talked about "carb creep".  A cracker here.  A cookie there.  Testing our pouch.  I did some serious testing!  LOL!  My finding?  I'm a carb-oholic!  I spin out of control so very easily.  I've regained 10 lbs and they have been very stubborn to come off.  I may try the shakes only for awhile.  Thanks for the inspiration!  And congratulations!!!

thanks for posting this. Its so important for us all to know its possible to get back into the grouve after getting off track a bit. So many people write in for help in getting restarted that this is a timely and useful topic. I think all of us learn the hard way about carbs and sugar and that we just can't get too far into that stuff without bad results. Fortunately as you have shown it can be reversed. congrats on making this work for you. You will get to that goal pretty quick.   Diane
