Reality Check !!
I could so identify with the eating dry cereal at night. I just recently started doing that. Thank you for the warning, and wake up call. I will stop that behavior. It is not something I have ever done as a habit in the past. I do not want to start it now and form a bad habit.
This maintenence thing is not something I was ever good at, and I am terrified of failing again. I don't like to admit it, but I had just noticed that my underwear was feeling tighter, then I read what you said abou****ch the underwear.... I need to get back to basics and stay away from the carbs so much also.
I'm with ya, gettin back to basics, and taking it day by day.
Congratulations on your sobriety!! That is awesome.

Hi Carol,
You are welcome for the warning. I made it through tonight without any cereal! Yay!!!!
I'll be honest with you though....skipped dinner cuz I was afraid I would start the madness again and graze all night until bedtime, even got into taking a bowl of cereal to bed with me...small bowl, but still, it's a bowl of damn cereal. I love the crunch! Love, love, love the crunch. So tonight I got out and did some major yard work and had 2 cups of boullion (sp) as suggest by Mini-Me. It worked. So grateful to be able to let my sleeve to it's thing...Love to you and you are rockin your sleeve too! Stay in touch!

Some of that weight gain may be to your successful efforts on sobriety. But then alcohol has a lot of calories too. I can only imagine the stress and struggle you encountered in doing that. I'm sooooo proud of you! Now that food is the problem it sounds like you are getting back on track with that too. Let the cigarettes come later. I think giving up those while you are working on getting the weight off could be just too much. I can't believe I just said that, because as an ex-smoker, I don't have much tolerance for it. I just want you to be able to focus on one thing at a time so that you don't get discouraged. Good luck. I KNOW you can do it!
Hey Wanda! You look great and you are absolutely so right about my weight gain during my first year of sobriety. I can transfer one addiction to another in a heart beat, food, shopping, and on and on. I will focus on sobriety and letting my sleeve do the talking :) You are right about the smoking....it will come later! You are wise in so many ways. Love you and keep in touch! Vicky
