can you feel your stomach after you eat???

 I have noticed the past two day after I eat I can feel my stomach it swells up on my left hand side. You can see a bump threw my shirt.

I do not know if this is normal never seen it swell before and never felt the bump it does not hurt it goes away after it starts to digest my food. Just wondering if anyone else has this.

No, I've not experienced that.  I can sure feel it though!  The stomach is a pretty tough organ though.  Are you sure it's not a loop of bowel you are feeling?

 It might be a loop of bowel wonder why I can feel this now my side hurt like a month ago but though it was a muscle pull. It does not hurt and it goes away fast. I do not have time for this lol. I am having my hysterectomy this Tuesday. I do not think it is a hernia I was checked in May and he found nothing.

A hernia maybe? 

I can't feel mine from the outside.  But, after breakfast I'll actually look and see if I can.  I'll test the theory.

hmmmmm, i have not experienced this and have no idea what it is but might be worth a doctor visit. Diane

 I was eating to day again and it happened I get this bump on my left hand side and I can feel something moving I think it is my food but could be wrong. I would go to the doctors but my doc is in the middle of changing where he works and can not see me yet.

And this Tuesday I am going in to have my hysterectomy so I have no idea when I can see him. I will have to call him some time next week.

You have no idea how glad I am to hear this(not glad your experiencing this, but glad I am not the only one)...I am only 5 mos out and not at goal, but I come here to read how all you guys keep it going. I can't believe you wrote this. I have been having an email battle with my surgeon who doesn't seem to want to talk about this. I can report exactly what you are feeling. Mostly I feel it when I am sitting in my car. Standing does not feel different to me. Since I am not thin enough to SEE a bulge, I FEEL it on the left side. I went to my primary after my surgeon kept telling me to take an anti-inflammatory for a week. (It's not PAINFUL) I told him that. My primary called him directly while I was sitting there, and left him a message.....that was a week ago. I just emailed her again to ask if he responded. Makes me mad he can't give me a simple explanation or at least try to figure it out. Since I drive a lot for my job, it is really annoying. One thing...my PMD checked me for a hernia and said she didn't think that was it.
I have heard, and maybe someone here can verify, that some Dr's suture the intestine/stomach to that side and is supposed to dissolve and go away after a while? Maybe ours didn't? I don't know...I am grasping at straws cuz it is the only thing that bothers me.

 My surgeon did sew my stomach to the wall also. I was thinking it might be loose now I have no idea. This has only happened to me for the past 3 days now. When my doctor reopens his office and can talk with me i will be going to him. He is good at listing me to so i do not see a problem with him giving me an answer. I sure will keep you posted I should be able to see him the last week of August or at least call him next week after my surgery on Tuesday.

Nice to know I am not the only one here feeling this.
