Not as funny as Frisco's NSV but.....

I took my granddaughter to the park.  There wasn't a bench, but I spotted the swingset.  My first thought was "Well I would sit on a swing, but it wouldn't hold me."  But WAIT!  It WILL hold me.  So I sat.  Then after awhile, I decided to swing.  It made my stomach leap and I felt dizzy.  One pass I was done.  But then, I decided to try again.  And I was swinging.  It was fun!  Then I decided to climb on the playground set and went down all three slides.  My 2 year old granddaughter thought it was hilarious!  I was thrilled!

Then today, I took 4 grandchildren to the pool and  yes, I got in.  It was so much fun.  I feel like a kid again. 

That is the best NSV I have read in a long time!  I love that this surgery allows to feel young again and to play with you grandchildren.  What a gift you gave to yourself and to them. 

Thanks Elina.  I was almost wishing someone had a camera to get a picture.  Don't think the 2 year old would have done too well with a camera.

I need to take my camera to the pool today then afterwards, play on their playground equipment and have my 11 year old g'daughter take pictures for posterity.

 i agree with Elina..best NSV I have read in a while! That is an incredible memory you will have created with them! So much better then the dread I know I used to feel in situations like that when my fat ass would get STUCK trying to go down a slide!

Oh I never would have tried to go down a slide before VSG.  It would have meant that I would have to climb up a ladder (EGADS!) and sit down on the slide, and then, yes get stuck.  Oh the humiliation!
