OK.... Last nite..... after a nice HOT bath....

Both hands on the edges...... lift myself up with my arms.......tuck my feet under me......stand up !!!!!

One Fluid Motion !!!!

Felt like a gymnast sticking a perfect dismount !!!!! No wiggles.....feet firmly planted.....

Pre Op this was a least a 7-9 step process to insure safety....... Arm here, turn, get on a knee, one foot planted, grab towel rack, pull, push........Well you get it....you been there !!!!!

Lmao! Funny thing is, I hate baths now because they hurt my butt!

I am still loving life with my sleeve! Been maintaining at or below goal for over 4 years!

I hear yah.......

I love me my bath..... I have a very deep tub....takes alot of water....cause when I was heavy (fat) I needed a deep tub so I wouldn't overflow the thing.

The key is to get enough water in the tub first....So the butt bone dosn't have much weight on it....I can actually float in my tub now!!! My latest trick....besides my dismount. I can float and spin in my tub!
God, I crack myself up!!!
Did I just say that out loud ?

It is funny how much the bath experience changes.

Pre-op my legs would take up all the space from side to side in my bathtub...which would trap water behind me. So when I stood up there would be a swoosh of water to the front. I just realized the other day that this doesn't happen anymore! Now there is all kinds of room all around me in the tub.

I am starting to get the sore tailbone thing though. Oh well!

Congratulations Frisco on this acrobatic achievement. Its fun to laugh about it but we all know that these little issues add up to a big life improvement.

So I am picturing you doing synchronized swimming moves in your big soaking tub. Maybe with a decorative bathing cap.  What a concept! Don't suppose we will be seeing any pictures posted of this.

I used to live in a house with a large two person bathtub-jaccuzi which I loved and really miss. It was a big hit with the neice and nephews too. Might have to put in a deep soaking tub with some jets one of these days.

My big thing is that I can now squat all the way down to look for something in a low cupboard and then just stand back up without grabbing on to anything or getting on one knee or anything else. Just being able to stand up is so great. But you know it.

We would like a video of the Olympic bathtub maneuvers!!

That's a fantastic NSV......

Today, we were looking at Kayaks for my daughter.  Everyone was taking turns getting into them.  They were display models that we took down and put on the floor. We were getting into them as if they were on water.  As I found that I could simply stand up and step out in one easy motion I starting thinking about how I would have gotten out pre-surgery.  It wouldn't have been pretty.  It would have involved rolling out onto the floor like an Orka whale.......you get the rest, it would have been humiliating.  I was so happy to be normal today....
