VSG Maintenance Group
Daily Maintenance Weigh-In for Thursday Aug. 4th
104.8 lbs. today. I am happy with that although I would like to go down another pound. Might be hard to do as we have dinner reservations for tomorrow night at a Michelin stared restaurant. The food there is Mediterranean and I love Greek food. Oh well, will get there when I get there. In truth anything under 105 is OK with me. I have confirmed this month that my weight fluctuates around my TOM by about 3.5-4 lbs. It really drives me crazy, but it is what it is.
Elina_7,
You are making my mouth water. Mediterranean and Greek food! Mmmmm. My favorite. I have not gone to my favorite restaurant since my VSG in April as I cannot imagine only eating 3 oz of that wonderful food. I still have 70 lbs to lose. How do you do it when you go the restaurant? Do you eat more than 3 oz? I am still a newbie at this.

When I was losing my weight, I would have only eaten the meat from my husbands plate and maybe a bite or two of the yogurt or hummus or baba ganoush (sp?). I would not have ordered my own dish. This is no longer true. I am now two years out and comfortably at goal for a year and a half. I now order small plates, like appetizers, a salad and a meat dish and split it all with my husband. I can eat a great deal more than the three ounces I could eat the first year. I can now eat closer to 6-8 oz. of food if I want to do it, and tomorrow I am going to want to do it. I will stay away from the yummy bread but I will probably have a glass of a good wine to go with my meal. I might even have a bite of dessert at the end. I guess what I am saying, is take full advantage of the first year, it gets harder to lose after that. It is not impossible, but it is more like it was before surgery. Listen to Dr. Cirangle and try to stay as close to his plan as possible. I would aim to lose the 70 lbs. by the one year mark. Please feel free to ask me anything at all if you think it will help, but it sounds like you are doing great!
136.0 up a little again. The almight roller coaster :-)

I've been checking in on everyone for months and check the daily weigh ins. Decided I would jump on board today. I'm nearly 2 1/2 years post op. My original goal was 140 lbs. My lowest weight was 118...WAY too low at 5'6. I didn't care for how looked at that weight. My goal range now is 125-130. Today's weight...125.6. Happy with that!
