Eating Salmon

Does eating salmon, which in the first couple of years felt like a good protein choice to me, make you feel heavy and sick? Just a couple of bites in recent months makes me feel like I've overeaten, bloated, full and it takes quite some time to digest.

We bake it in the oven with some butter, no creamy sauces or any carbs. Just the fish by itself.

Other fish I'm fine with, such as tilapia, tuna sushi grade salmon.

I love salmon and have been able to eat since I was about 2.5 months out. It was one of first dense proteins that I was able to eat and to tolerate.  Sometimes, food just doesn't agree with us. Have you tried cooking it, without the butter? It might be the butter fat that you are having problems with, and not the salmon. If not, then salmon is one food that you can't tolerate. Sometimes, I have problems with pork, if it is too dry. Chicken is also another meat that can be problematic, if it is too dry. I use a lot of salsa with some of my meats. Sorry you are having these issues.

It's not a problem for me at all, mind you nothing is and that's not always a good thing, lol!

The dryness tip may be it! I agree that dry chicken breast is difficult for me to tolerate as well. I'll try moistening up my dense proteins more and see if that helps. Thanks!
