Did you ever think your weight goal was never going to happen?
I totally feel your frustration as i'm right there with you. I have 10 pounds to go and I have not lost weight in almost 4 months. I just keep playing around with the same 2 pounds. I've tried altering my calories, beefing up my exercise, increasing protein, all to no avail. I've asked on this board a number of times but still the weight just stays. If you figure it out, let me know because I would like to reach my ultimate goal.
I think it might have taken me longer to get to this point than it needed to. However, I chose to take a detour earlier this summer and indulge in as much fresh fruit as I wanted. I didn't gain a pound but I lost either not at all or very slowly for a while.
At the very beginning I was afraid the surgery wasn't going to work for me. I couldn't imagine losing my weight. I was sitting in my hospital bed thinking it wasn't going to work.
When I had a stall ( I've gotten to the point where I really hate that word - over used, I think ) I never beat myself up. I told myself I was doing just fine, everything was OK, and to keep on doing what I was doing. I didn't worry about it, ever. So be easy on yourself. Keep on doing what you're doing. You'll be OK.

That is the secret don't worried. I need not to be so worried about my last 25 lbs. I am happy with the 120 I have lost with out this surgery I would be over 300 lbs for sure a year later. I have not weighted 170 in years and years. So thank you for your help. I am going to just relax and keep exercising because it makes me feel better when I do. I will only exercise from now on because it feels good and If I loose weight that is my bonus.
I've been feeling that way since December but I keep putting one foot in front of the other and taking it one meal at a time and slowly I'm getting closer every month. It takes a lot for me to not compare myself to others who were/are fast losers. We're all different so I'm just trying to keep my eye on 149. I do find that I do better when I log my food in the morning and then stick to what I've written. If I wait until the end of the day, there's often more carbs and calories than I want. I exercise as often as possible. I can see my scale go up if I haven't been watching my hydration, but my fluctuations are within two pounds these days. I'm delighted to have learned to keep things within two pounds and hope that I can continue once I'm at goal.

About a month before I reached goal I thought I never would go lower. I looked fine and my body seemed happy where I was. But I really wanted to reach goal so I asked my doctor what I should do. This is what he told me, eat more solid protein, and less carbs. Cut out some of the "softer protein foods" like dairy or beans from my diet as they also have carbs. Eat low-fat dense protein and just a bit of low carb veggies and that is all for a while. Make sure to increase the protein count of my meals and don't drink any calories at all. Reduce sodium and increase water until you feel like you are a fish. I did what he asked of me, and lost very quickly to goal and beyond. He also asked me to increase the exercise, and I did not do it, but I am sure it would have been the right thing to do.
To me that is the secret. You just have to keep trying. One day you will get there. But for now on I am just going to go to the gym because I like to go. I am not going to think about loosing weight. I will try to loose it but if it does not come off then I will be happy where I am.
I am happy with me now so time for me to stop all the over thinking of loosing weight. Than i just might loose it lol. Lets see if this plan really happens LOL NOT but I will try.

Speaking personally......
I got to my initial goal weight of 175lbs. pretty much on cruise control.......
Than, working with my surgeon.....we kept revising it 5lbs at a time till I weighed in at his office at 148lbs.
He told me I looked great..... scribbled some numbers on my folder.....and said "Perfection" you have lost 100% of your excess weight.
He than said "Stop" Now hold that weight for a year.(a first for me.....a doctor saying don't lose any more weight)
The last 25lbs. is all "fight"
I ain't gonna lie.....It was hard.....
Lower calorie, Lower carb......walking everyday (45-60min.)
Fighting for every pound......
I'm sure there are many ways to do it...... I chose to get militant......This was a chance I never had before...... I wasn't gonna be content and let up.....
It's all you from here on out !!!
