would like your "how to" help with wt training please!

Hello everyone.  I would like to begin wt training in August.  I have been working out for over 4 months now and need to incorporate weights.  Can anyone guide me in the right direction for a beginner?  Thanks!

I know it's expensive, but I have had incredible results since I switched to a small private gym and started working out with a personal trainer there.  He shows me proper form, he makes sure I hit all the muscle groups, he pushes me way harder than I'd push myself, and he keeps me happy and motivated during my workouts.

I'm 5'2" and 55 years old.  VSG 3/17/10

 either don't do it every day or do one set of muscles one day and another the next.  the personal trainer idea is a good one, I have also found free advice at the Y.

proper form is important. remember to warm up muscles first!

edited to add: there is a fitness forum here, I assume that would get you some good advice. 

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

I found this great website that has lots of different exercises you can do right at home, or in a gym.  http://health.howstuffworks.com/wellness/diet-fitness/information/weight-lifting-for-women.htm

If you keep clicking on the next page button it will take you through an entire, whole body routine. 

I also have a great book that I love that takes you through why weightlifting is so good for women it's called Weightlifting Rules for Women:  Lift Like a Man and Look like a goddess.

You might want to check out the fitness and exercise forum here on OH too. There are a lot of people there with a lot of experience.
