Dirty Little Secrets...Just for fun

Once again OH ate my post...

I was never a secret eater. That's because for the most part I ate healthy for my meals. My snacks might not be but I spread them out so no one could tell if it was my first Nestle Drumstick or my 3rd of the day.

However, when I was just out of college and living by myself, I would not cook for myself. I would just grab things that where handy. So I'd do things like buy a bag of M&Ms and then, instead of heating up a dinner in the microwave, I'd grab a handful of M&Ms... and another .... and another. So by the end of the evening  I'd eaten maybe 1/3 of the bag and no dinner.

So you figure that's got to be about 1000 calories of sugar and fat and no protein. The idea kind of sickens me now.

I actually stopped having secrets even as a pre-op: talked about my Binge Eating Disorder and just generally looked under that rock and shined a light on it. it came from reading Geneen Roth decades ago & I think it's one reason I've been so successful.

working on my "emotional issues" and eating disorder didn't help me give up being obese but it has sure helped me with maintaining!

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.
