It really is all about the Jeans

Frisco said it first. Its all about the jeans. The ones I got last fall  (including sparkly a$$) when I thought I was done are now a little large. So at costco i decided to get an inexpensive pair of any old kind of jeans since i work in an art studio and get messy. So I find a stack of jeans and have to paw through them all as they are all TOO BIG to get to the one size 8 they had. Didn't try them on. They are great - actually a little loose in the behind but I don't care. Got a bunch of complements on them today. Not bad for $15. Taking a trip soon back to midwest and can't wait to see how people react when they see my skinniness. Last time I was back I was about 30 lbs heavier and not at surgeon's goal. Diane

You go!   I'm not going to try any jeans on until the fall clothe**** the stands.  I think I'll be able to get into a 10, as the 12s are getting a tad loose.

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

That's awesome! I was packing up my clothes for storage today and wondering if my jeans will fit come winter.. Not sure if the tummy tuck will make em too loose, or the swelling too tight!

I am still loving life with my sleeve! Been maintaining at or below goal for over 4 years!

YAY for jeans!  I went to dinner with 5 old friends that I only see around 2x a year.  Needless to say I'm down a few pounds since our last meeting.  I was happily wearing size 10 jeans which were very comfy.  Everyone kept commenting on how skinny I look.  I have lots to lose yet, but a good pair of jeans does a world of good to hiding skin etc.

Congrats Diane.  Walking in and picking up jeans at Costco is terrific!

I love jeans!!!  Lately I've only been buying them at Goodwill since I can try them on there. These days I'm wearing a size 3/4.

I recently had a HUGE NSV in Kmart & Target. I can wear children's (girls) size 14 & 16 jeans as long as they're long enough.  I got a pair of GORGEOUS kids glittery jeans in Kmart for $3.99 (on clearance) which I plan on wearing for my birthday dinner this Saturday night!

It nearly brought tears to my eyes to be able to fit into a child's size - bizarro world to say the least! The best part is they have an adjustable waist and it is cleverly hidden in the waistband so you can tighten (especially nice for those us who are "butt" challenged).

Hey.....

Let's face it.....Doesn't really matter what the scale says....

It's how the Jeans fit !!!!

Truth be known.... my final weight was determined by my surgeon.....but it matched with 31 waist Levis.

For me..... 150lbs. and washed 31's are perfect..... and 32's I need to be 165.... So between say 155 and 165 is like no mans land.....

you are so right Diane it is all about the jeans!!  jean pants, jean shorts, jean skorts!!  All of them.  I am very fustrated that I cannot get to goal let alone go below it like I might want to do.  (I go back and forth between 1.5 lbs and 3 lbs above goal depending on the day) but can wear a size 8 levi's jean which fits great and I am very comfortable with.  So do I go by the jeans or the scale???  UGH...

How tall are you? What is your BMI? Getting a body fat test might help you decide on a weight. If you have been exercising, you may have put on more muscle.

Go by what you are comfortable with. If you want to blast your plateau, as you know, changing things up can help. Increasing frequency and intensity of exercise always seems to help me, as well as keeping my calories within a specific range.
