Great picture and great idea. Might have to get one of these! My stove is a Jenair with a built in grill but i never liked the thing and never use it. This gadget looks like it would be fun. Add this one to the book, Frisco.  Diane

Love this idea of everyone cooking on the table.  I think my family would love to do this.  Please do tell me again where to get these grills?

Thanks,
Patty

Hey Patty,

I bought them at a store called Mitsuwa in San Jose.

I think they normally sell them for $64 plus tax.

onehappygirl bought hers from Amazon

See my detailed review in a below thread by Lee.

Oh boy!  I ordered mine from Amazon on Saturday.  It should arrive sometime this week.  I can't wait to try it out over the weekend.

Frisco, what's on the skewers?  How long do you cook them?  Curious minds want details!

Frisco if you don't mind me asking, how does this compare to an outdoor gas grill? What's the difference?

Convenience...... I keep it out and use it a lot.......Use it indoors

Also, I can cook one piece at a time to pace my meal or I can turn the heat down real low to keep my food warm..... So I can eat slow and not be faced with cold food.

Ultimate taste....a gas or charcoal grill is going to have added flavor.

I guess I'm using the frying pan less and the Zoji has good fat drainage and "chars"  and "marks" food better than a fry pan. They do sell grill pans and grill plates (I have a nice grill plate also but find the Zoji more convenient)

Also as the photo illustrates..... It can be a very social/fun way of eating.....very common in Japan as "Yakiniku" or in Korean culture as "Korean BBQ"
