I had my doctors checkup today.  He told me I'm a poster child for VSG.  He said my weight is perfect, even rolled his eyes when I said I my try for 118 lbs.  He said he has other patients who've had lap band or RNY and they aren't doing nearly as good, said they are not eating right and therefor not losing the weight.  It's nice to be the poster child for something!  He did order a stress echo because my heart rate is so low.  It was 48 BPM.
Highest weight ever recorded: 224lbs.    Surgery weight: 194 lbs.
Goal range:  130-135 lbs.
  Lowest:119.7   Current weight 142lbs Height: 5' 2" almost

I second your doctor's opinion.  You are the poster child for VSG.  Your dedication to eat well and stay on top of things makes you a true vet and an example to newbies.  Great job!

Congratulations, Marie!!! Hopefully, your heart rate is slow due to your physical exercise and good fitness level.

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

What a great thing to hear from your doctor. We all knew this all along but somehow the doctor makes it official! You have done a great job. Diane

If you workout, having a low heart rate is good! (Lance Armstrong's is around what yours is.)
