11 months post op visit tomorrow

I have my 11 month post op visit with my surgeon tomorrow. He requires that we eat a test meal before each visit. I just ate 3.85 oz of bbq chicken. I was kind of surprised that I could eat that much in 20 minutes. Does that sound about right at 11 months out?

It sounds like what I can eat now and I'm a month behind you. I weigh 3 oz of chicken for my meals and add a tomato or some salad too. So, I probably could eat 3.85 oz of chicken too.

OK, great. Thank you for your response. Three months ago I was eating about 3 ounces, so I was wondering if I was still on track. Sounds like I am.

that sounds pretty normal. But we all know tomorrow you might not be able to eat that much. some days sleeve seems to accept less than others. an odd phenomenon. Have a good check up.  Diane

That is so true! Somedays I can get an entire yogurt down, other days not so much.
Thank you! This checkup my surgeon is notorious for yelling at us to help keep us on track now that the weight loss is slowing down a bit. I'm preparing myself for it.

Ha, I thought it was only my surgeon that did this - takes the tough love approach. but it gets results so go and listen and then turn the discussioin to what you can do constructively to complete your weight loss. gl Diane

My doc sure does believe in the tough love thing I just sit listen to him than start to question him. I guess most of the weight loss docs do tough love. But it sure helped me to loose weight. Him holding me responsible for my weight has worked on me. I have had no other doctor be so tough like my weight loss doc.

My family doc is so nice he is so excited when i loose 5 lbs now my weight loss doc tells me I can do more lol. But I just love my weight loss doc he keeps me motivated. My last visit went great I started to talk to him about my tummy tuck.

My surgeon gave me the tool. Now it is up to me to use it right.

It sounds pretty normal for 11 months out and a 32f sleeve........

I'm like 21 months out and eat in the 3oz. range.

But I really question why the surgeon wants to or encourage maximum eating?????

It's not like he can adjust anything????

I know re-sleeving is possible and another procedure to tighten it up from the inside....But, if your losing/lost the weight and you tell him/her what your eating.....It's pretty easy to figure out if everything is working?

Maybe I'm missing something or he/she has a specific study going on....

Anyway...I drifted off.....Good luck with the appointment! Looks like you have done well !
