Paging diane s. !
Diane,
Your sister On the vsg board suggested I look to you for appeal advice. I have suffered from dysphagia with the band and wanted to revise to the sleeve. My insurance approved the removal of band but not the revision. They said they want to "see how I do." If I gain weight then they will approve it.
My bmi is currently 32. If I have the band removed of course I will regain the weight.
My surgeon of course is not recommending that I gain. The revision is to prevent re-gain and return of my co-morbidities.
Do you have any advice? Do you think it can be easily overturned or will I possibly need an attorney?

Well I am one Diane who won an appeal. Read my blog page. My winning appeal letter is under the section entitiled "four and a half months out".
But your situation sounds quite different than mine. Send me a private email message and I will tell you what I can. You might also contact obesitylaw.com, some attorneys that I understand specialize in these appeals and other obesity related issues. I do not know them but have heard they are good. Diane
