5'5" and a size 0!!! Woohooo!
Hi Spookydoll!
I have been watching your weight loss journey for a while now and can only say that you have done an AWESOME job!
Anyone who is 5"5" and can stay in a range of 110-115 and sometimes lower is my IDOL!
I am 5'2" and my lowest was 117.8 and now I hang at 120, give or take one or two pounds daily.
Today I'm 121 and yesterday was 122.
Can you tell me what your eating plan is like on your "on plan" days? You must be very good with not grazing on the bad carbs like I do. I'm sure if I can get a handle on that, I can be back to 118 or lower.
And what's your "off plan" day like?
I admire your success and thank you!

Thank you thank you!
Well Saturday-Thursday (unless I need to change the day of my "off plan") is very structured. Structure is what has kept it easy for the most part. I plan those whole 6 days in advance and do not eat out (I know sometimes things come up, so I work with them if I have to eat out! For example, I had Jury Duty a few weeks ago and had no choice for lunch because you could not bring outside food. But you get the idea.) I also record everything I am going to eat in advance and if it is not journal, I do not eat it. Those donuts that showed up at work? No way, That Bday cake at work? Nope!
Also, for me I do not under any cir****tances have many simple carbs unless it is an "off plan" day. I do not snack either. My Off plan day I can eat whatever I want. Some weeks I have been known to eat 4 donuts or two cupcakes or ice cream. But whatever I want, I eat it. I know it takes me all 6 of those days to get my "off plan" day weight off but it works for me. This is what I have been doing since December. For me, It is much easier to wake up the next morning and start eating smarter than it is to have a small bite here and there on days I need to stay on plan. I have a hard time stopping at "one bite" or "one cookie" so I just don't have it at all. It keeps me motivated because I know, come Friday as long as my weight says under 110 (Even 109.9) I can have whatever I want. If my weight is 110 or higher I will not have my "off plan day" no matter what. This usually only happens after I come back from a vacation. I usually have to skip one "off plan" day to get my weight back to pre-vacation weight. It's kind of like Christmas, it keeps me motivated to not cheat because that one glorious day, I can have anything and I don't have to log everything! I can go to Starbucks and splurge on something sinful, I can have a slice of cheesecake, I can eat donuts! And I don't have to count ever calorie and carb!
Anywho, this is what works for me. I understand it does not work for everyone. It may change and may not work for me forever. I will worry about that when the time comes.
I either eat weight control oatmeal with a whole banana sliced in it and a small apple on the side (360 calories), two scrambled eggs with a piece of ff cheese and a small apple on the side (280 calories) (Some variations occur like an omelet and I will add a veggie or two or turkey bacon and do eggwhites or egg substitutes if I am adding in turkey bacon or sausage to offset the extra calories) or two containers of carb master yogurt, with a cup of strawberries and half a cup of blueberries (220 calories) every day other than my off plan day.
Lunch is usually either 4oz of Boneless Skinless chicken breast (usually a rotisserie) and 1/2 cup of a veggie (approx 275), a wrap using a low carb tortilla with turkey, cheese, mustered and veggies (approx 300) or homemade turkey chili 1 cup (300 calories)
Dinner is usually a fish. shrimp or more chicken and a veggie. Usually this time of year it is grilled on the grill (approx 275) or a stirfry with no starch (approx 250)
Regardless of which I choose I eat between 800-900 calories a day on "off plan" days and will cut back a little more if I need to.
Hope this helps!

I wish I did more weights, but I just do mainly cardio. It is so hot here in Texas this time of year that all I will do between now and September is swim. I do 3-4 days a week and about an hour. Plus every day at work (4 days a week) I take the stairs 10-20 flights a day on my breaks.

Being active is the key. I would think that with your amount of exercise, you would be able to eat more than 800 cal/day, but everyone's metabolism is different. Good for you for being so successful!
I'm still trying to figure out maintenance and it helps to read about how others are maintaining their weight loss.
Thank you,
Gail

WOW! You are very, very good!!!! Hence, that is why it is really working. Thank you so much for replying.
I know if i was as good and regimented as you are with my eating plan, I would loose these 5 to 8 pounds. My problem is that I start everyday with very good intentions and then I start grazing and it becomes a lost cause.
I really need to take it one hour at a time to get through the first day of not grazing and then continue it from there. At least, I have been doing some sort of exercise for and hour or more 5 days a week and when I'm really on plan I up that, too.
I'm excited to take this challenge on with myself after this weekend.
Thank you so much. I wish you continued success!
