Hit the wall at a restaurant
Good move with speaking up for yourself. Early on I was so paranoid about eating out. Oh, no! What if I couldn't eat anything on the menu? I have found that more often than not the company is more important than the meal. There's usually something I can eat. If I know ahead of time that the menu is not a good one for me, I eat beforehand. Or I put a protein bar in my purse for afterwards. I try to remember that it's only a meal. One meal.
