Anybody getting forgetful?

I think it's our age.  I had memory problems before WLS and I got more than enough calories then!

I hate when this happens.  It reminds me of Mom and scares the begeebies out of me that my memory will be as bad as hers.

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

I'm so glad I'm not alone! But I don't think it's the wls. I've been blaming it on all the **** I did back in the '70's, but maybe it's just age. That, and I have so many old commercial jingles and other useless crap taking up prime real estate in my brain that I don't have room for new stuff.

Oh and something that helps me is to make lists. I used to make lists all the time but for some reason after I had WLS, I got out of the habit. I mean I'd make them for special occasions, but I wouldn't have a running list of to dos any more. So now I am writing things down again and it helps a lot.

Me too and it only started after WLS.  Thank God I don't have my old job which required a lot of memory of minute deatils...I could never do it now.  I am only 47.  And I eat plenty of chocolate, so that's not it.

Age (55 for me), chocolate deficit, and MS (again for me).  I'd forget my head if it wasn't screwed on!

I forget a lot, I am sad & worried about this. I think it's age but stress makes it much worse. :-(

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

I've gotten really forgetful in the last few months.  I wasn't this way before surgery.  I can't remember a movie plot of something that I saw just days ago.  At 60 this is worrying me because my mom had early onset Altzheimers.  I thought I was the only one having forgetful episodes.

Yep, gtting forgetful is worrysome. Did you know california has 10 alxheimer's testing centers where they will do a team analysis of neurological issues to determine if there is alzheimers or some other issue or no issue at all? I think its even free. Tried to get my mom to do this without success. If you are worried it might be worth doing as chances are you are fine and normal for your age and can put your mind at ease. I had a quickie memory test at my psych eval and was fine. I have alzheimers in my family and worry about it too and play nintendo brain age II to keep mental skills up. But I really felt like a dolt when I couldn't find that one item I had carefully put away for safe keeping and my husband remebered where is was.   Diane
