Anybody getting forgetful?
Oh and something that helps me is to make lists. I used to make lists all the time but for some reason after I had WLS, I got out of the habit. I mean I'd make them for special occasions, but I wouldn't have a running list of to dos any more. So now I am writing things down again and it helps a lot.

I've gotten really forgetful in the last few months. I wasn't this way before surgery. I can't remember a movie plot of something that I saw just days ago. At 60 this is worrying me because my mom had early onset Altzheimers. I thought I was the only one having forgetful episodes.

Yep, gtting forgetful is worrysome. Did you know california has 10 alxheimer's testing centers where they will do a team analysis of neurological issues to determine if there is alzheimers or some other issue or no issue at all? I think its even free. Tried to get my mom to do this without success. If you are worried it might be worth doing as chances are you are fine and normal for your age and can put your mind at ease. I had a quickie memory test at my psych eval and was fine. I have alzheimers in my family and worry about it too and play nintendo brain age II to keep mental skills up. But I really felt like a dolt when I couldn't find that one item I had carefully put away for safe keeping and my husband remebered where is was. Diane
