It sure was.  I know he was at least half as tired of watching me work on slowly killing myself as I was.  boo.

I'm overwhelmed and want to comment/write on this later but for now...I love you lots. more so because you said "might could." :)

(I wanted to work that phrase into my PhD defense but I was too freaked out to do so...so in NYC, I try to say it at least once a day. It keeps everyone on their toes...)

XOXO!

Take care of your overwhelmed self!

Might could seems ever so hopeful!  Since two negatives make a positive in grammar, do two hopefuls make a surely?

I am sure the New Yawkers are ever amused by your Suthn Slang.  :} The ones I know who came to visit me were freaked out that I wave *gasp* AT STRANGERS SITTING ON THEIR PORCH WHILE I DRIVE BY!

 Just wanted to say I grew up in Chicago area and live in St Louis, MO for 20+ years and I still wave at strangers on their porches or in their yards as I drive by.  Brandi you can drive by my house and wave at me.   As in the famous works from beverly hillbillies, Ya all come by now put yer feet up and sit a spell!  Ice tea anyone??  Sugar free of course.  I love sitting on my porch and watching the neighborhood.  Maja

We do that here in out small Iowa town too.  And wave at every car we meet, even if they are out-of-towners.

We're nice like that.

Maybe because we're in SOUTHERN Iowa.

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Brandi....what can I say, but as always you are right on.  You really, really see the whole picture.  That doesn't make it easy, because like you said, we want instant gratification.

What would adding an extra $25 a month to that payment so you can pay it down sooner....as long as that extra $25 (or $10, or $5) doesn't give you the stress that  you describe.  I think it would be counterproductve (as you said in your more colorful verbage).  Because the stress of having that extra payment would make Trixie rear her ugly head.  *SIGH*.   Damned if we do and damned if we don't.

I think the instant gratification want leaks out where it can.  Meh.. like that marshmallow test.  I would have gobbled it up before the person conducting the interview left.  Fella would have let that thing go crusty, melty, and eaten by ants.  :}

Luckily the amounts I owe are not crazy, but in my working on being more excellent in all departments, I know they need to be paid down to nothing, which - if I am being dilligent will just be a few months.  The big trick is fighting the urge to DO IT ALL, DO IT NOW, SO I CAN GET WHAT I WANT !!

Muscling something into being and then calling it a miracle, does not make it one :{} no matter how much I want it to be.

Not that I am opposed to one!  I am very open to a miracle!  Just my wishin and hoping *alone* days are past, and never were that crazy helpful to begin with.

Silly humans!  :}

Very interesting reading. This sounds like a great idea.. I should look around my area and see if I can find a similar group. It sounds like it would be very helpful. Please let me know how it goes for you.
