Saw 2 plastic surgeons in Omaha today
I met with 2 different PS clinics in Omaha today for consult on having my bat wings clipped. Surgical Images was very impresseive, but about $1,000 higher than Village Pointe Asthetics. I wasn't as impressed with them....mainly because they didn't do a comprehensive consultation like Surgical Images did. That may be because they had no record of my appointment, nor did they have me in their computer system for an appointment on any other day! What the heck?! I found on my cell phone the day I called them to make the appointment. Anyway, they had had a cancellation and worked me in since I had driven 2 hours for the appt. Maybe that is why they didn't do as much as the other place. Surgical Images actually took pictures of me and showed me on the computer what it would look like if I had the procedure done. There was no charge for either visit. Now I have to decide if I want to save $1,000 and go with them, or go with VP. I hear good things about both of them. VP does the surgery at Neb. Medical Center Hospital, where SI does the surgery right there at their office building.
Jen (Jpt2lose) has an appt at VP in a couple of weeks. I'm anxious to hear how that goes and if her appointment was more comprehensive than the one I got since they "worked me in". I'll wait until then to make a decision.

Yes, Diane, you're right. NMC is the university hospital. It combined with Clarkson a few years ago. Good hospital. I'm probably going to go with the Village Pointe just because it's about a thousand dollars cheaper and Dr. Johnson has a good reputation.
I'm going to wait, though until after Jen has her appointment in a couple of weeks to get her take on it.
