Why are short sleeves so effin short?

Man it's like women's clothes no longer have sleeves. Even the ones with sleeves are too short. I have to buy men's tee shirts just to get sleeves.

Amen, sister!  No fat gal or formerly fat gal ... or gals past a certain age! ... should be caught dead in the teeny tiny little sleeves they have been putting on shirts and blouses for the past few years.  Even though I've had a brachioplasty, my 58-year-old arms are not fit for display like that!  It makes it so hard to find blouses!!

i agree. i hate those little cap sleeves. they are teeny bopper shirts. I find the cheaper t shirts at places like walgreens and such actually have more normal length sleeves. No way can I do a tank top or super short sleeve as the bat wings are just too ugly. diane

Along those same lines...would it kill a dressmaker to put some stupid sleeves on the thing? Not everyone wants to run around in sleeveless dresses. I have been casual dress shopping every weekend for like a month and all of them seem to have NO sleeves. Grrr.

How about the shorts with the one inch inseam???  What hell???  I want shorts that go at least half way to my knee!  Man fashion has sure changed.

I'm still not confident enough for shorts that are above the knee, but I did find some shorts that were actually flattering. They are skinny jean shorts!

They have a cuff right above the knee.
They are these:  http://www.zappos.com/dkny-jeans-missy-dirty-dancing-short-b lue-coast-wash

AndI got them at Ross for like 8 dollars. I love them and they are stretchy but they are already falling off me.

AMEN!!!  this is so true, around home I am always in tank tops when it's hot. those actually don't look as bad as the shortie short sleeves.

just this morning I was thinking I need some of those....dang, what do you call them...where it's just a pair of sleeves and a bit at the top.  crap, total brain fart.  now, how do I look up something when I can't remember what it is. google short toppie thing? not going to work.  just killing time til I can think..it's on my tip of my brain... bolero?  not exactly.

SHRUG, that's it, I need some shrugs very light weight and with 3 quarter sleeves. makes a tank top into a work outfit, given nice pants and shoes.

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

Egads it's horrible!  I have appointment on Friday to see about getting my batwings clipped, but at my age, I won't wear sleeveless or tanks even after PS.    I just want to be able to wear regular short sleeved shirts without my loose skin hanging down over my elbow. LOL

I have 3 shrugs and wear them with a lot of clothes, including a couple of dresses.   Not sure what I'll do when those go out of style.    I have to wear knee length shorts or capris too because the loose skin on my thighs looks like a shar-pei dog.  Bat wings, shar-pei and oh yes, the gobble wobble neck.  I'm an animal.

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

I seriously wear those half sleeve, party cardigans/shrugs from Old Navy. I think I own 8 of them. I have this serious aversion to armpits, only chick armpits, men's armpits don't bother me at all, but even my own armpits make me icky! ! ! I have loose, flabby skin, but I could go sleeveless if I wanted to do it. I just choose to wear those little cardigan/shrug things from Old Navy for most of those cap sleeves or tanks.

Oh wait they're called cropped cardigans, I don't wear them buttoned.
