First plateau
I think I finally hit my plateau at 147 lbs lost. However, it's a lazy man's (girl's) plateau b/c I have not been exercising for the last several months due to some bulging discs in my spine! Just walking around shopping irritates it. Sometimes just driving irritates it! I've been having steriod injections (2) into my spine. They are waiting to see if the inflammation goes down so I can have less pain and then do some physical therapy to keep it from happening again. But the doc doesn't want me doing anything that might aggravate it for at least 3 more weeks. Then we have a visit and go from there.
So I haven't really lost weight in about 3 weeks. But I haven't been trying super hard either. Haven't been watching carbs, just trying to eat like a normal thin person would eat. Since the surgery, I've eaten whatever I wanted just making sure to get in all my protein and vitamins but don't deprive myself. I did the south beach-ish low carb thing for a couple weeks when my weight loss slowed down (didn't stop) and that gave me a boost, but I only did it for the boost and when I went back to normal eating I continued losing at regular pace. So I think I should probably do that again.

Sorry about your back. YOu might try chiropractic - I used to think it was quackery but tried it when desperate and it really helped.
I think its pretty normal to stall when you are gettng close to goal. So just cut the carbs a bit and maybe cut 100 calories - start tracking if you are not. Any maybe there is a mild exercise you could do while sitting that would not hurt your back. But be gentle! Don't want to agrivate it. Think how bad back would be if you had 80 more pounds on! GL. hope you get through this back thing. Diane
