Brother was sleeved today

My older brother was sleeved today. I called thinking I would get his wife but he answered and was in the recovery room. Seemed to be doing ok. They were just waiting to get him to a room. Said his pain was only about a 2.  I will call him back later since the recovery room is hardly a place to talk on a cell phone.   Diane

Wow, that's great! I don't even really remember anything that happened until almost 24 hours after my surgery. Sounds like he's doing great.

Woo Hoo!  I'll be in Omaha next Friday.  I have 2 consultations with 2 different plastic surgeons....one in the morning and one in the afternoon.  Planning to visit my SIL grave while there since I didn't get there over Memorial weekend.  BIL got the stone set the week before Memorial Day.

Not sure how I'll go to get there.  The Missouri river is flooding and they have already closed part of I-29 north of Omaha.  We're south, but they have everything ready to close it south too.  My BIL has already evacuated his house.  Moved everything out.  I feel for the poor guy.  Colleen died in March and now he could lose his home.  He is 3 miles from the river but there is a levee about to blow and if it does, they say the water will probably get that far.

Well I kind of got off subject there.,  If I knew your brother, I would go visit!  Give him a southwest Iowa high five.

HI Wanda
I feel for you on those floods and can remember driving to KC on 29 and seeing so many fields flooded. Used to do some business in Hamburg and saw on the news they have issues. Is it the Nishnabotna river that floods in there with the MO?  Anyway, hope your plans are not disrupted.

Well I would tell you just to drop in on brother but he will be out by sunday am. talked to him again and he was doing fine - just a little gas pain. That was something i managed to have none of. no clue why i was lucky except i know my surgeon sucks it back out.

Thanks for your kind wishes. Hope things are safe for you there.    Diane

My nephew lives in Hamburg.  He has been moved out for about 3 weeks.  I think they need to move Hamburg to a different location, because they flood all the time.  Yes, Nishnabotna and Missouri rivers  intersect there.  We usually get on 29 at the McPaul exit just north of the Hamburg exit.

We had a lot of rain yesterday.  Coming to Des Moines there were several smaller rivers out, so I'm guessing the Missouri is the same.  I haven't checked that out yet, but guess I will.

Wanda, who do you have apts with? I just made an apt for a consult with Jason Miller! I'm not ready for surgery yet, but I want to know what's fixable and how much it wil cost. You'll have to let me know what they say. My surgeon highly recommends both Miller and Johnson from Legacy.

Surgical Images.  My appointment is with Marie Montag.  The other appt. is Village Pointe Aesthetic Surgery.  I don't know who I will be seeing there, but I know Jason Miller is at that clinic.

Do you know of other people who have had surgery there?  From what I hear, they may be the most economical.  I would really like to get in touch with someone who has used them.  Is there any way you could find out  for me?  Like people at a support group meeting?  It's scary to do when I don't know anyone who has had surgery there. I'm happy to hear your surgeon recommends Miller and Johnson.  Makes me feel more comfortable in choosing them if they are cheaper than the other place. I do know a woman who had a tummy tuck at Surgical Images.  She was very happy with them.

Would love to meet you some time!  We don't go to Omaha as much as we used to.  My SIL who died (husband's sister) and BIL lived in Millard for years.  BIL is originally from Omaha.
