Well we are off to shows this weekend so wish us luck. I will have my laptop so should be able to check in will all my OH peeps. Since I will be in the big city I am trying to think of barriatric friendly products I can buy but can't think of much. Will make a Trader Joe's run but there is only so much I can get there.

BTW, who can tell me what CoQ 10 is and what is it good for? I see it recommended in some places but don't know what it does.   Diane

I'll miss you while you are gone! Very excited for you about your brother's friday surgery. COQ10 is a supplement that is good for high blood pressure and those who are prone to heart disease or have heart disease. Here's some more info on it:

http://altmedicine.about.com/cs/supplements/a/CoenzymeQ10.htm

Some say it's good for diabetes and weight loss too, but anecdotally it did nothing for me. The main supplement that noticeably helps me and that I can't do without is Chromium. Chromium helps with blood sugar and cravings and it helps me stay away from the sweets.

Rats!!  Dog Chippie got reserve (first runner up) both days so far. that means he was second best in a decent sized group of dogs but there are no points for it. Tomorrow fewer are entered so less points. I am not biased or anything but he was the most beautiful dog there and he really strutted his stuff!!   Oh well. Had a small order of mushroom chicken at Panda Express for dinner and am staying within my eating rules. There is really nothing good to eat at dog shows so staying on program isn't too hard provided one has a protein bar along.   later.  Diane at the Ramada.

Chippie won today. Only one point but I will take it. Also won best of opposite sex to the best of breed female and won over a champion male. (a sort of big deal in the strange world of dog shows). This show has been a hoot because they call it "Woofstock" and the whole thing has a hippie 60's theme and the exhibitors and judges all are wearing tie dyed stuff and afro wigs and "Nehru" jackets and peace symbols and all the trappings. so hilarious. and they always play the national anthem to start dog shows as it is a sporting event and today they played the Jimmie Hendrix version. Wish i had saved my leather mini skirt from those days. I got way too fat for it long ago but now i could fit it! the skin sags would not be attractive however.   Peace.   Diane
