I'm nowhere near the maintenance stage as I'm just 5 months post-VSG, 85 lb down from my original 351 lb, with another 88 lb still to go. In anticipation of when I got there, I thought I would start observing what you veterans were doing and experiencing. It also doesn't hurt to access more seasoned advice rather than just the exchange of identical experiences with my December 23, 2010 surgery counterparts.

Welcome to our group. You are wise to be looking ahead to maintenance phase as its a process that takes some learning. Just as you spent time researching and learning about your surgery and weight loss phase you need to be considering how you will handle maintenance. Plus there are lots of folks on this group in all phases of the process that are interested in questions that arise after the first few weeks. So feel free to offer any thoughts you might have. Chatters who are not yet at goal are very welcome to comment.

And congrats on your weight loss. YOu are doing extremely well.

Welcome!!  I think you are smart to start checking out and coming on board the maint group.  I originally thought that I had to be at goal before I could come here...so not true.  You get to the point where you need to hear more than the beginning things...so this is a great place to check out too.  You are doing an awesome job on your journey!!

hello!

I think it's a great idea to be looking ahead, good on ya!

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

Wecome to the "other" side.  We could use some more testosterone on this site.  We are kind of short in that area, so you guys can't  help one another with your masculine issues too. lol

I came over here before goal too for the same reason, so it's all good.

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.
