I can't believe it's Wednesday already!!!!!  Got myself back on track as of yesterday.  Memorial weekend was rough.  I couldn't lay off the Lays sour cream and onion chips.  They have an addictive quality. We had one bag leftover from the BBQ.  I dumped it out in the yard.  The deer ate it.  I think I went crazy over them because I was feeling deprived.  We went to a big BBQ,  the BBQ spread was crazy delicious looking.  But, the only gluten free safe foods I could eat were the potato chips, grilled steak, and corn on the cob.  Everything else has some type of wheat ingredient like MSG, Worsestershire sauce, and caramel color.  So, I went crazy with the chips because I felt deprived.....It's the wrong way to think!

B- 5 ounces of Fage yogurt

 I just wanted to confess...

I have been dreaming about pizza for several days now.  To the point of silliness.  So I gave in and got a pizza for myself.  I realize I may very well eat only 1 piece of an entire pie, but MY GOD was it good.  So rarely does that happen to me after surgery...where I want something, it tastes like I think, and feels pretty good on my tummy.  Yum, yum, yum.  I don't even feel that guilty.  And isn't that what this is about?  That I can have A piece of pizza and not feel tortured needing more and more and then feel tortured because I ate more and more.

I had pizza this weekend. Contrary to popular belief, as long as pizza is eaten reasonably (able to fit it into your calories for the day), it's not bad for you. Protein, fats and carbs. All your macros in one delicious slice. :)

Can you eat a whole piece? I still can't eat a whole piece of pizza. I can eat 3/4 of a large slice I think. I guess that's ok. I never liked the outer crust anyway. =)

You are right, this isn't a jail sentence!

I wasn't upset about eating it, I was upset about the reason why.  It was emotional eating because I felt deprived.  I've been in denial that I am an emotional eater, but am really learning that I am lately.  I'm owning it.

Pizza sounds so good.  What I wouldn't give to eat a slice of pizza made with wheat flour.  I will never be able to do this again for the rest of my life.....see?  So I scarf chips....LOL

Eat-Rite low carb pizzas are quite good. only you have to order a bunch as they ship frozen. but worth it for a pizza fix. one has about 7 carbs, 210 calories and 20 g protein. must be made from soy flour and a lot of bran or something. diane
