I went for a walk on a trail

Our first camping weekend of the season. We had never camped at this park before and saw they had several trails.  So off I went.  It was a little rough under foot, but OH MY GOSH how I enjoyed it.  The sweet smells of nature.  The birds singing.  I didn't see any snakes.  It.  Was.  Wonderful.

In the past, I would let others run in and out of the camper go "fetch" needed items.  Not this year.  I was in and out of that camper so many times.  I just thoroughly enjoyed every minute. I cleaned the campsite this morning by myself while my DH was hooking up the camper and the others were still asleep in their camper.   In the past, I would have picked up a couple of things, but would have "let" others do most of the work.   I wasn't lazy.  I just couldn't do it at 306 pounds.   It feels SOOOOO good to be able to do these things without hesitation and without exhaustion.

Hated to end the campout early, but bad weather made us decide to head home a day early.

But *SIGH* I didn't do too well in the food department.  I'm back on track today.  It was only yesterday that I screwed up, so I'm not a bit worried.

Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Good for you! I know when I was 302 lbs camping was mostly sitting around the campsite not doing much. I'm looking forward to going in a couple weeks at a more active 195 lbs now.

You are about where I was last summer and I enjoyed the camping then too.  But this weekend was even better since I'm 30 pounds lighter than I was last summer.  We do love to camp.  Like you, I spent most of my time in a chair (a BIG chair so it would hold me) before.  My daughter told me I don't need that big chair anymore.  Love it!

Ha on the big chair. we are going to a party in a while. Host just called and asked my husband to bring his own chair (hubby is quite obese). these friends have pretty rickety furniture so i don' blame them but jeez. Hubby was only mildly insulted.  diane

OMG I would never even try to get into a hammock cuz I don't think I would have been able to get out of it....or it wouldn't hold me.  LOL

Its nice to just not be weary in your bones, is not it?  Yaay for enjoying camping differently.  I am glad you and your love got to spend good time together outside!!

We have had crappy storms around here too.  What a spring/early summer.  Be glad when it calms the hell down.

Hooray for your good day, your walking, and your feeling liberated from heft!  yaaay!
