...I hope you filled in the blank with something exciting.  My goal this week isn't exciting but it is something I need to do.

I have been pretty slapdash about tracking my food these past few weeks.  I know this is an important habit to maintain in order to keep on top of my nutritional health, and therefore my weight, so my goal this week  is to plan the food, eat only the plan, and track 100% .  And if push comes to shove it is to track 100%.

So, I am tracking everything this week...wish me luck.

getting out of my comfort zone,   I'm a home body type,  don't go out a lot,  go out to eat and stuff but not really going to bars unless with family and friends  but not usually without family so it will be a lot different for me.  It happened at the meet and greet last month and i think it was good for me, so i'm celebrating my one year anniversary and a friend from works b/day.  So a little step to comng out of my shell.  I'm actually gonna wear a dress and put on lipstick  kareoke so i might even sing,  God Help us all     lol   :o) jeani

Good luck!

My goal is to get my body to flip the elusive switch that changes it from very slow to quick weight loss.

For the past 40 lbs my body has settled into a strange but somehow miraculous trend of a stall or near stall for two to three weeks and then suddenly I lose 10 lbs in two weeks until another slowdown hits.  Interestingly I always lose just about exactly 10 lbs at each speed up, and nothing I seem to do diet or exercise-wise can speak to why my body slows down or speeds up.  It's a mystery to me.  But I've come to be used to it and accept it.

However, I'm headed home on leave two weeks from today and the last time I was home was just three weeks after my surgery.  I would REALLY like to hit the 200 lbs lost mark before I get on that plane for psychological reasons AND because onderland is only another 10 lbs after that - and the goal of onderland is what is going to help keep me on plan when I'm in the US surrounded by all that wonderful but bad-for-my-plan food - not to mention the challenges I will face during the 8 days I'm going to be in Rome in July.

So... for the next two weeks... diet, exercise, and weight-losing energy (I've been stalled for about two weeks - so the stall is due to break any day now).  Just under 8 lbs to go to hit 200 lbs lost!  Will my body let me do it?  Stay tuned.

My goal is to stay on track with my eating during a 4 days business trip this week. I'm not a fan of businesss lunches and dinners or hotel food.

Also to take my swimsuit, pilates band and stretch cords so that I can do my workout and arm exercises in my hotel room and swim if it's convenient.   I already looked at the location of my hotel and there's a big mall about a mile away that I can walk to and do some indoor walking as it's going to be in the 90's.

Being away from home can be a challenge for me as I get into the mindset of "I deserve a treat".  I'm going on vacation for two weeks later in June, so I can't allow that "treat mindset" door to swing open because it will be more difficult to keep shut on vacation.  I'm too close to goal to sabotage myself now!

It sounds like we all have very worthy goals!  How is everyone doing with them?

I...struggle.  I always have excuses as right now my life is chaotic and it is very like quitting smoking - there's always a reason to put it off.

Today I am going to be extremely alert and mindful of what I'm eating and making sure I'm tracking.  i'm even bringing my own food to this full day meeting so I don't get tempted by the lunch.  And btw, what is it about a buffet that seems to throw some crazy switch in my head?  I mean, at these things the buffet is basically wraps, salad, a bit of fruit and some dessert squares.  Really, that is what I'm going to lose it for?  Maybe it's the dessert squares.  And the mid-afternoon cookies.  Yup, I am bringing my own lunch!

get a release from the doctor to go back to work next week following my foot surgery. Have a apptment with dr on wed. It has really been cramping my style to wear this cam walker boot. Need to be able to walk, and exercise normally. Have not gained weight, but may have lost muscle tone.
Love being off work, but need to go back now. I like to be able to pay my mortgage, and put food on the table too.

Wishing you all the best, Carol
count your blessings!!!!   At goal weight.   I am 5 ft 3.
