Sometimes not one day at a time, but one hour at a time, even 5 minutes if you have too. All the things you are dealing with are really hard put them altogether and things look impossible. Only take on things you can... and try to see them as individual hills to climb instead of one big mountain. Going through my divorce, cancer, financial problems etc. here are a few things that helped me.

Some days in order to get out of bed..I would tell myself," you only have to get up for 8 hours and if you still feel this way you can come back then". Usually I would get involved in something and never go bac****asionally though I said, "for today I am going to lay down and take care of me knowing that what I am going  through totally sucks, but I can't stay down for long, I will allow myself these few hours to just acknowledge that I am really upset and that it will someday get better.

I do not know if you are a spiritual person or not, but something that someone gave me once with this line on it really helps me to this day.  "There is no darkness that even the smallest light can't overcome". Some days you just have to look for that little light. Maybe in the eyes of your child.

Take care of you. The weight loss will come, but if there is something that you don't have to carry right now put it down. You have enough on your shoulders.  Just stick to your "maintain for now" plan. Make sure you treat yourself well. Tanning, massages, some shopping whatever that is for you that can brighten your day. Don't wait for someone else to do it.

My rambling almost done....on the meds thing..... My doctor recommended Wellbutrin. I never filled the Rx, but she did say it also helped with appetite suppression.

Also make sure you ask for help when you need it, your friends love you and want to be there for you.

Last thing...I promise....You are a strong woman and you can and will get through this, one moment at a time. There are a lot of people wishing the best for you.

Take care of yourself and if you need anything, let me know. I've been there.

Thank you so much!  I love your idea of negotiating things to get through the day.  I have done this before to get myself to the gym.  Promise myself I only had to do 15 mins and that was it; but then often ended up doing more.

I know you have been through times where you have had multiple crises happening at a time, so you know how it feels.  Thank you.. hugs.

I'm so sorry to hear this.  You seem like a giver and are definitely a helper from what I've seen on here.  I don't know how anyone can get through all you have lately without some sort of breakdown.  Hugs and be good to you!

Thank you.  I am definitely breaking down a bit.. not eating as cleanly, sleeping more and short tempered.  I think the St. John's Wort has been helping and I'm doing everything I can to fight through this.  It means a lot to have the support here.

I've been AWOL for a few days so just catching up on OH.  I'm so, so very sorry for all of your troubles.  We all know what it's like to get into these feelings and the dispair and worry that we will lose complete control with our eating habits.  It sounds like you are being very proactive with this and I  know you will get through this.  I wish I could offer words that would help.  Just know that I care and sending cyber hugs your way.
Wanda
Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Thank you Wanda! Each day is difficult but there are definitely some times that are easier than others and the herbs are helping.
