Good for you to recognize the problem and take action!  My husband is supposed to use the CPAP but nope, he thinks he knows more than the cardiologist, pulmonologist, urologist and internal medicince MD.  I asked him how come I didn't know how smart he was when I married him. lol

Falls asleep in the middle of a conversation.  Up half the night.  When he does sleep he snores terrible (he didn't used to snore at all).  But hey, he used it for 2 nights and didn't feel better, so the damn thing doesn't work.  *SIGH*

Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Oh Wanda (((((hugs)))) I am so sorry to hear this.  Maybe we can get a campaign of stories together about people who have passed away as a direct result of not using their CAP.  Does he really know the health risks of untreated sleep apnea.

When I first started using mine, it did take time to feel better, this time around I noticed a difference right away.  Last night was my best night.  I got 7 hours of therapy in and didn't remove the mask once during the night.  So glad...

I wish your husband would use his.  He is toying with his life by not using it....

I know Trish.  The kids and our friends who do use theirs, get after him all the time.  He's just pretty stubborn and I told him the other day that he won't live to see 70. He's 62 now.  That scares the begeebies out of me.  Neither one of his parents lived to see 70 and I know in my heart that he won't either.  For the same reason as his dad....he wouldn't listen to the doctors either.

The pulmonologist asked him if he has the nursing home picked out where he will end up after having a massive stroke.  Didn't phase him.  His sister died in March at the age of 59.  She did everything the doctors told her to do, but she died.  Guess he's anxious to see her again.  I know I sound cynical, because it angers me that he won't do it and I'll be left alone to pick up the pieces.
