Traveling w/ Protein
I fly very little....fact, only flight in last 10 years was to Mexicali. In June, I will be flying from GA to CALIF on business. Can someone tell me about flying with protein powder? Should I mail it ahead of me? Package it a certain way?
I'm one of the rare few that likes my protein and so I have it for breakfast everyday...can't imagine being without it for 5 days.
Thanks for any input or suggestions.

You can absolutely travel with it. Don't worry about it. If anyone asks what it is, just tell them the truth--there are no regulations against it.
Current weight: 170 lbs.
Once I reach goal, this cow will be killed & eaten... 2 ounces at a time.
Total includes 56 lbs. lost on 2-month low carb pre-op diet. Start date 9/13/10.
i took a large jar unopened in original packaging and they took it out and xrayed it separately ; probably because it had the little scoop inside it - but it was ok. if you take some in your own jar or plastic bag you might take an original label. so long as its not liquid i don't think they care. You can fly with liquids in your carry-on as long as the containers are no bigger than 3oz and all your liquids fit in a quart sized Ziploc. So, you can put shampoo and stuff in little travel bottles (or just use those at your destination, depending on how particular you are) and put all of that stuff in a baggie. Other things like toothpaste, foundation, deodorant and other gel/liquid items have to go in that bag too. This only matters if you are carrying on. If you are checking a bag, you can bring whatever you want. :)
