My sons made me realize.....

PBJ

...how very thankful I am for my sleeve and the new outlook on life that it has given me!  Teenage boys don't open up much and the other day my 2 teenage sons and I were having a very nice (and rare) life conversation about the last few years of our lives.  Prior to this year, my family had been through alot...the death of my mother (their Nonni) and alot of family "crap"..well they told me that since I had surgery that this is the happiest that I have been.  It made me want to cry..and it really made me realize how VERY thankful I am for the new life my sleeve has given me.  It really has changed more than just my body...my attitude, my outlook of things...it really has been life changing!  Sometimes it is out of the mouth of babes that you realize things....

Aww,   that's so great to hear sweetie, i'm so happy for you.   It truly is amazing,   we all plan on doing this to lose weight and get healthy,  but this journey has so many other surprising side effects  lol   It sounds like you have great sons and i'm so happy that they shared that with you.  Sometimes we can't see the forest for the trees but our kids can just put it right out there for us.   You are a lovely lady and deserve all the great things you have worked so hard for   xoxo jeani

Out of the mouths of babes. I know that I am happier and healthier, since I have had the sleeve and have lost weight. Someone at work, said that I looked like a different person, and I replied, "I feel like a different person." Losing the weight definitely changes our lives for the better, Everyday, I am grateful for the gift that I have been given.

Gail, when you showed me your picture on Saturday, I honestly thought that you're a different person.  It seems that what you've kept is your charming personality.  You're right about this being an incredible gift.  Count me in as another grateful Sleevie person!

Hey Patty....

That is just the kind of validation that confirms what your doing is correct !!!

It is always said that we do this for ourselves.......

Well......That's true.....to a point......

But when we better ourselves.....we make it better for the people around us.....success breeds success !!

Take this opportunity to be your best, bring the best out of your children and be that better mom !!!

Also use this as motivation to make and maintain your weight related goals !!!

Congrats !
