I know that the economy sucks.. And I know that I am lucky to not HAVE to work to get by.. But I am not sure how much longer I can take looking for a job with no luck. I have been looking and actively applying- I am talking hundreds upon hundreds of resumes/applications, with not a one offer. I know that I am a good wife.. Mother.. Friend.. Student. But not being able to get ANY job.. It just has me feeling so worthless. I can't even express how sad it makes me. I am starting to feel like there really must be something wrong with me. Everyone I know in this period who was looking for work has found it... Ahhhh.. Just needed to vent and cry a little I think. Thanks for giving me a place for that.

Eta: we are talking 3 yrs of looking.. And I have a BS and MS in Criminal Justice if that matters..

Ah, sorry you're feeling bad, Fawn! I'm sure someone is missing out on a great employee. I always figure things happen for a reason, maybe when the perfect job comes along you'll be available for it.

Thanks! I try and be positive.. But sometimes it hurts. Today my cousin, who is a high school drop out, got a job after three days of looking... I don't think I am a better person than anyone.. But am I not just as deserving... Ahhh

I am in the same boat as you...and it is depressing. I've never gone on an interview and not be offered the job later on...I've been on five interviews with no job offer!

Oh, I feel your pain! I have only had two interviews in three years.. Everyone send me letters / emails saying that my education and experience are great, but not a match for their position... Sometimes I dread applying because I know it's just another disappointment waiting to happen..

So sorry you're going through this. I know that there is a beautiful (and I mean gorgeous) young woman at the hospital who has the same education as you. She has been working as our secretary for several years now because she cannot find work in her field. And this is in the Philadelphia area, you'd think there'd be something!

You would think.. I have been looking in both my town, and Philly actually. We are from Philly, and my hubby wanted to get out of the Corp and go home, but my lack of finding a job means he has to reenlist.
