Pizza chicken

I made up a strange dish tonight for myself and my son.  I'm calling it pizza chicken.  I took 2 chicken thighs and removed the bone/skin from them, then put it in the food processor (raw) with tomato sauce, basil, oregano, onion powder and garlic salt.  The chicken at this point is in little tiny pieces.

Then I sauteed the chicken/tomato mixture on medium heat for about five mins and in the last minute threw in a beaten egg to thicken it up.  It's appropriate for mushies really but is also good for kids that don't like the texture of meat as much or as a way to get more protein into your sleeve.  I served it with a sprinkle of Parmesan on top.

My son ate it up and asked for more.  He also mixed in the steamed broccoli I had made and liked the mixture.  Just thought I'd share the idea.. it takes no time at all to make, is healthy and tastes good. :)

I might have to try this, sounds great! I get so bored with eating the same things every day.

BTW I tried the Safeway water you recommended - SO much easier to get down! Thanks!

Awesome.. please let me know how you like it! I really made this more to get my son to eat some meat.. he's always had trouble with any dry and/or chewy meat. Because this cooks so quickly and is in a sauce, it is very moist.

I'm so thankful for finding the safeway water.. finally I can drink water again! I'm still going to try the baking soda experiment when I get a chance.

Hi PBJ! The Safeway store brand water called "Refreshe" has a bit of baking soda in it, and for some reason I believe this makes the water easier on the tummy, perhaps because it makes the water alkaline.

I can finally drink plain water if I drink this brand! Evian also was a little easier but the Safeway brand I can drink very easily. There might be something special about the way they process the Safeway water or it might be the calcium chloride in it, but I think it's the baking soda. So I plan to take some water and test if I can drink it, then if I can't add baking soda to it and try drinking it later, to see if the trick to drinking plain water is to add a little baking soda.

If that's the case we sleevers can easily keep a little baking soda with us at all times (instead of crystal lite) and make our water palatable. It would be a big score if this worked.. I just haven't had the time to do the experiment yet.

Let me know how it goes, and if you like try adding a little baking soda to the water you already have and see if you tolerate a little better.
